TODO EL MUNDO ES KITSCH
Circus of Stillness: The Power Over Wild Beasts. The Watermill Center, Water Mill, Long Island.
July 25, 2015.
In a collaboration with Robert Wilson, I crafted a creature: part missing link, part bird, part kitsch. Inspired by the club-kid culture and style, as well as the music of Marc Ribot & Marc Ribot’s Ceramic Dog (the title coming from one of their songs), the resulting creature performed in a manner where everything in the world was bliss; lounging on a bench, crouching on the bench and posing for pictures with guests, just enjoying the meaningless of itself.
